Peonies are my favorite flower (Followed closely by lilacs, lilies and daisies). I love the way they look, the way they smell, and the fond memories I have the peony bushes we had in my yard when I was little (I always hid behind them - predictable? Yes. But can you blame me? They're so pretty!) I was so excited to see that they are now available at all the florist shops! It really did brighten my day/week...aren't flowers wonderful?
This lovely bouquet now resides in my apartment. I have to resist the urge to carry it around with me (a la "You've Got Mail" style) everywhere I go!
If this is what all the rain we've received of late brings, then I guess I'm okay with it...I guess...
Here's hoping for even more flowers in May (wink, wink guys...)

Oh please please do just carry them around and we'll play the you've got mail soundtrack! And love the subtle hints for the boys in our lives to send flowers... however I've felt empowered recently that I CAN just buy flowers for myself. And if next V-Day I'm not dating someone you better believe I'm anonymously sending some to my office! (and yours too if needs be... but let's hope it needs not be)
